Cats

Unfortunately we have got a cat killer in this neck of my woods,so you can imagine how I felt when one of my cats didn't come home for 2 days, but he eventually came home, don't know what happened to him, but he wouldn't eat or drink for 2-3 days stayed in my bedroom all that time, I even put bowls of food and water in my bedroom but no he wouldn't eat or drink.
He came back downstairs eating and drinking now and being himself now thank goodness.
But he not been outside for about 10 days, but at least he is home and he is safe thank goodness and so are the other 2.
There are people who are on the cat killer case and it quite widespread area this person who doing this but he be caught as they got a good description of this person hopefully he be caught soon.

Honeysuckle Bowls

The honeysuckle is now out and the blue tits are visiting it very frequently, as it's been raining, a steady downpour  the flower on the honeysuckle are like miniature water bowls. It is so lush and green out there with all this rain, so that means lots of work in the garden when the rain stops.

Mixture

A mixture of the weather warm sunny cold windy rainy. The garden needs a overdue transformation!  Must start soon but been getting indoors done though had a lot to do.
The Easter cactus are doing well best I had for ages. The one nobody wanted is really coming on well, when I got it , it was old shrivelled  nearly dying and after a very long time it's really looking good, normally I look at plants and they wither on the spot.

Welcome Back

My annual visitors are slowly surely are coming back to stay for the summer, welcome slugs and snails. Had to rescue a snail from the paper box out for recycling so from now on yes pled for slugs and snails in the recycling boxes.
No sign of the ants yet and the nettle patch I left for the butterflies and bees is growing strongly.
Daft as it's sounds I am glad that they are back the slugs and snails.

Lull Before The Storm?

A nice brisk walk in the morning, the wind was strong but felt warm against my cheeks watching the dead leaves being scattered around by the wind, the clouds scuddering against a blue sky, the sun wth its gentle warmth. Is this the lull before the storm?

4 Robins

2 birds fighting over scraps in the garden . Weathermen now say we might not get snow in this neck of the woods! We might we might not now! So what to do now, prepare just in case I think. Saw a beautiful robin while waiting to pick my granddaughter up from nursery, my daughter then mentioned that she gets four robins in her garden mind you she does live near a park.
The birds which were fighting over scraps were sparrows.4

Grey Mornings

A nice cold sunny morning after a few grey mornings mind you I don't mind grey mornings. Loads of toadstools about or are they mushrooms must fine the mushroom and toadstools book. That what I like about grey cold mornings not many people about and you can explore quietly and be one with nature, you find the lichen in so many colours, dead decaying trees home to all sorts, the birds flying about or singing to their hearts content, might be lucky to see a fox . Grey winter mornings for me is great
