My annual visitors are slowly surely are coming back to stay for the summer, welcome slugs and snails. Had to rescue a snail from the paper box out for recycling so from now on yes pled for slugs and snails in the recycling boxes.
No sign of the ants yet and the nettle patch I left for the butterflies and bees is growing strongly.
Daft as it's sounds I am glad that they are back the slugs and snails.
this is a blog about nature in a small town and the surrounding countryside.

Spring Flowers
Pink and white blossom, green leaves unfurling against the blue sky which has a few white clouds floating gently and one of my favourite things a gentle breeze love breezes = spring is here!
The daffodils are fading ready to go to sleep till next year , the tulips are now taking over my lovely bright red tulips, with their petals opened wide so they can capture the warmth of the sun .

A mixture of a day.
Primroses scattered in the woodlands mean that the bluebells are not far behind. Brown sheep in the field.
Sparrow on sentry duty while the others are among the train tracks looking for whatever.
Thunderstorms are due.
