Sparkle

The moon was still out when the dawn turned into a lovely blue sky. The blue sky highlighted the silvery moon it sort of sparkled. Then the grey skies have come back over.

Early Hours

The full moon illuminates the early hours . A Fox walks by then stops sniffs the air then changes direction. In the distance is a owl hooting . And the wind blows gently for a change.

Family

A very quiet time at the moment apart from a wren visiting the sleeping honeysuckle. Back to grey skies and rain. Still enjoying my walk down the hill in the rain very refreshing. I know I am weird. Not seen the family robin but heard him. He and his family are part of my family.

After 2 glorious days blue skies bright winter sun, the snow came the sleet and then the rain came and went and now grey skies.

A raven being neighbourly popped round to see the the magpie family who are cosy in their chimney pot home.

Bath

The wind is still buffering around . Plenty of twigs and branches on the ground. Puddles have not dried up  just as well as a sparrow was having a quick bath in one.

Ducks & Umbrellas

Even ducks will be using umbrellas today the weather is appalling. The robin sits on the fence post defending his territory in this really bad rainy windy day  then all of a sudden he flies off as to say I am getting to wet here

Moss & Worms

Think the birds had a throw the moss from the roof competition. Garden path has got a few splotches of moss on it. A few worms are out and about after the snow and rain all wriggling about they seem happy

Snow

Snow in the morning snow gone by the afternoon.

A seagull was doing a sort of shuffle dance in the sky, looked comical but graceful at the same time.

Fog

A thick foggy night , the street lamps add their glow to the eeriness of the night. So quiet and haunting . Greeting the morning to the leftovers of the fog more of a mist now.

Two birds fight over the aerial then both decide to sit next to each other.

Gloomy Day

The crows in the bare trees  having a rest . An other wintery cold grey day. But the thump thump drilling and swear words from next add to the gloom of the day

Snow.

It snowed in the early hours then in a blink of an eye it went as fast as it came. The snowdrops are beginning to push through forgot about them. Such lovely flowers .

Brighter

The days have been merging into each other grey dismal wet, but this afternoon a bit of blue sky sun out. Things are looking a bit brighter. A light dusting of snow on distant hills.

Wet Monday

Hearing the rain gurgling down the drains Seeing silvery raindrops on the wet and soggy branches dripping merrily. Not hearing a sound out from the birds and not seeing even one bird.

Birds

1 robin on fence . 2 magpies sitting on chimney pot which is their new home. A pigeon doing a majestic fly pass so low as well.

Water butt gently overflowing a bit. Upturned dustbin lid filled to the brim so the white and black cat can have his daily drink.

No seagulls at the moment.

Flapping

You wouldn’t of noticed the seagull flying apart from the flapping of it’s wings as it’s the same colour of the sky grey!

Blue tit and resident robin sitting on the fence not quite side by side . It amazes me that !
