A cold damp gloomy start for June.
Saw two jays one in a wood the other one came to visit the garden.
Sparrows have decided to visit the garden not seen him for a long time.
Resident robin has been showing his little family off. Really lovely to see. . Made friends with one of the chimney magpies . It comes to visit often and has a good look in the patio window.
Weather has been not to bad . Overcast and windy at the moment. My friend the crow comes for a chat every now and again.
New strimmer and it works beautifully. But the grass needs a cut again . Grew so quick with all the rain we had.
A walk around the park was very good. Plants , trees , flowers beginning to blossom some were already in blossom.
Saw a Canadian geese family mum dad and 2 goslings. Dad had that look on his face you mess with my family I mess with you.
Birds galore. Plenty of sparrows nice to see. .

The starling sat on the same branch in the apple tree and was singing his / her heart out. The sun shining on its feathers making them shimmer was a joy to look at. I think it’s the same starling was has been visiting the apple tree for the past few days . A new resident? Hope so.
A chat with a magpie very chatty he was. Creamy blossom against the bright blue sky looking like confetti all bunched up. Tulips in the garden with their petals wide open catching the warm sun rays. The beech trees leaves are getting bigger everyday and greener.
Rain snow sleet all in one day plus sunshine. Grey warm days bitterly cold windy but bright sunshine days. All this greeted the beginning of April.
Rabbits in the field in the late afternoon early evening , then a fox came along and ignored the rabbits.
A spider web hanging on the patio door handle in the high winds, looking like a miniature trampoline bouncing up and down constantly.
Resident robin tends to visit in early morning then again in late afternoon .
One for sorrow two for joy magpies that is. Walking around the beech trees pecking here there and everywhere, not many people like them I like them such beautiful birds. An other beautiful spring day the pink and white blossom slowly coming out.
Watching the midgets fluttering about in the late afternoon sun, thinking glad I am indoors. , as I have a very bad reaction to insects bites. A yellow butterfly decided to visit the dandelion clump. Then a white butterfly. Roused it’s path and went to the tree with the pink blossom.
Resident robin and mate keeping me company in the garden on a lovely spring day. The daffodils are coming through a treat. Tulips are getting bigger. Then wren is running about on the lawn maybe catching insects that they can see and I cannot.
Resident robin and mate have been very busy. So has the blue tits. The wren came to visit. The evenings are now getting lighter. Watching a hooded c4ow picking up nest building materials quite a large beak full it had. The honeysuckle is now sprouting it’s leaves think it’s going to be a good show. The daffodils are late but they are coming on and the tulips are just pushing through.
A flash mob of starlings landed in the apple tree , one blink and they went again. A bird which I never seen before came into the garden. It darted around so quick I could really see it’s plumage properly. It was a small bird maybe from the tit family
Pink clouds greet the dawn. After the rain overnight the scent of the earth greets my nose tingly. The resident robin is very busy in the garden. And the magpies appear again .
Resident robin and mate have spent so much time in the garden a joy to watch. In the background the blue tits fly to and fro. A female song thrush came to visit. My friend the crow escorted me up the garden path chattering away. Pigeons on the roof opposite doing what pigeons do. Then a starling came along and sat on the fence for a while. No sign of the magpies yet. Then the resident robin sat in amongst the clump of dandelions taking a drink from the rain which collected on the leaves .
2 robins and 1 wren having a good look around the back garden. The blue tit having a drink from the water butt. A bright crispy morning. A pigeon sitting on the lopsided aerial observing all what is going on around him.
Daffodils, crocuses , snowdrops scattered in the grass verges promising that spring is round the corner. The resident robin sat on the fence and sung so beautiful. Wind and rain coming in slowly
Watching some birds flying through the very strong winds. How they do that I do not know. The leaning tv aerial is still going strong in the winds. The huge clump of dandelions are bent over now due to the winds. The front lawn is covered in the small violet flowers looking good. Soon the daffodils and tulips be poking their heads through .
The starling sitting in the apple tree having a good look round even though it’s very windy it sat there for a long time. The resident robin flew over to the starling but didn’t stay for long. The starling feathers ruffled in the strong wind very nice to see. Now the rain clouds are coming in .
Rain and wind are in for the day. Supposed to have 2 storms in 3 days ! The resident robin keeps me company as I put out the rubbish, singing in his tree. The crow caws good morning to me as I leave to go shopping . Talk to you soon he seems to say . Looking forward I say.
After the rain a pleasant morning was had. A bird of prey hovering think it’s the sparrow hawk hovering all the other birds are in hiding .
A lovely sunny afternoon blue skies gentle wind, then the crow came along and walked beside me till I got to the garden path. Chattering away it was shame I can’t speak or understand crow. Maybe I best try and learn.
On a gorgeous spring like day the resident robin came out of his hiding place and sang . He is so beautiful.
The beech trees are beginning to show their tiny leaves. Same with the sweet chestnut tree .
Daybreak crept in a bit earlier. Windy but not so cold. The crow came to have a chat while putting out the recycling. And the resident robin in the background singing away.
The lone seagull sitting on the pole in the middle of the duck pond looks like a sentry on duty. An other grey and dull day not even a ripple on the pond.
The dark grey clouds have taken over the spring like weather. The only movement are the branches moving silently in the slight breeze . The big clump of dandelion looks sorry for itself.
A beautiful sunset ended the a nice warm spring like day. Birds flying overhead to roost.
Swans, ducks, geese crowding round waiting to be fed. Such beautiful creatures.

Weeds are now quite tall. Time to go out and pull them but leave some especially the nettles
An other grey brown green day but mild. Crow said hello for the first time in ages , jay popped his head round to say hello.
Resident robin is hopping about happily. A seagull is practicing its dive bombs , so when it goes back to the coast ? It be taking chips etc out of peoples hands maybe? The tv aerial with the abandoned nest has tilted quite a bit , looks similar to the leaning tower of Pisa now. The leaning aerial of the rooftop!
Swap landing on the pond so gracefully. Then a sudden burst of a rain shower. Seagulls circling overhead then they decide to land near the swan.
Wrens in the gardens having a a good look round. . Resident robin decides to make an appearance, as to say I am still here.
Watching a flock of sheep being moved to an other field. How skilful were the 2 sheepdogs . A joy to watch.
A warm rosy glow in the morning gave way to a grey morning, mild and no rain. Resident robin is very active and the blue tits have decent to visit again.
Weather wise that is. Yesterday rain dark gloomy, today bright sunny and windy , tomorrow?

He is back my lovely handsome fox. Peered in the patio window as to say I am back hello. Then he settled down. So chuffed he is back . It be for a short while I know but lovely to have him back.
Icicles hanging from the roof tops and from the trees, glinting in the morning sunshine. The black and white cat sitting on the shed roof having his morning wash not minding the cold and frosty morning. He is the cat who puts his front paws on the fence and peers over . Handsome cat. This is a different black and white cat. He belongs to next door but one and he understands Russian and English. Bilingual he is!
A bright cheerful morning but very cold. Christmas tree is now planted . It has got good roots, thank goodness. The jay came to visit again such beautiful colouring . Pigeons and parakeets flying together maybe it’s a one off thing . The parakeets chattering as usual. Seagulls are flying the thermals squawking as they do. Bless them.
Squirrel decides to join me in having lunch, he having a sweet chestnut me a sandwich, he outside the patio door me inside the patio door. Rain and snow promised for today at the moment only rain.
New Year’s Day dull grey and rainy. 2nd day sun shining chilly. Plump pigeons are making the most of the seed on the ground.
